Whishaw plays the alcoholic Sebastian, and Atwell his enigmatic sister Julia, between whom Charles (Goode) is caught in a forbidden love triangle. Gambon will play the dissolute patriarch Lord Marchmain, and Thompson his devout and controlling wife.
