In the late 1960s, three teenage sisters from rural New Hampshire form a band at the insistence of their overbearing father, who is convinced their talent will make them stars. The trio polarizes critics. They are dubbed visionary by some, while others called them the worst band in rock history, whose sound is reminiscent of cats being strangled.
