After their comic book dreams are crushed, a group of sci-fi cosplayers are granted superpowers and are transported into the multiverse to do real battle with evil alien forces bent on earth's destruction.

When small-town video game store clerk Max Jenkins (Tom Plumley) discovers and plays the only known copy of Nether Dungeon, the legendary lost installment of the Nether Game series, he accidentally unleashes the ancient "Curse of The Ages," turning friends and family into possessed ghouls hell-bent on destroying civilization. It's up to Max and his best friends Reggie (Joey Morgan) and Liz (Hassie Harrison) along with old-school gaming gurus Eugene Wylder (Greg Grunberg) and Barton Grabowski (Joseph D. Reitman) to figure out how to beat the dark forces of The Nether before it's GAME OVER for humanity.

Follows Isaac Ward, the first person to turn “hue” in this black and white world. After being shot in a downtown crossfire, he is found bleeding “red”. As Isaac’s body also begins to streak with color, other outbreaks develop across the globe. Isaac now struggles to survive while society tears itself apart to try to capture and comprehend these new unexplainable “hues”. Leaving countries at odds, at war and Isaac determined to find answers.
