At the end of World War II, April 1945, the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and his five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. A Most Violent Year is a thriller set in New York City during the winter of 1981, statistically one of the most violent years in the city’s history.
